The term "Waiting periods" in this section deal with the time that the court requires must pass from the time the divorce is filed, and the time that the Judge signs your divorce decree.
Maine law requires that no Complaint for Divorce shall be heard by the Court until after the expiration of sixty (60) days from the date the Defendant was served with the divorce complaint. If your spouse signs the Maine "Answer and Waiver..." immediately after you file the complaint then you can divorced in as little as 60 days.
